On Friday, January 16th the K2 classes concluded their 4 week theme about "Staying Well, Staying Safe".
The theme has taught them about going to the doctor and first aid while showing care for others. In connection with the theme they have learnt about medicine, how to put on a bandage and to finish the theme they simulated going to the doctor and getting "stitches" by using cardboard with punched holes and strings of yarn to stitch in and out, while being very careful not to bend or break the "paper patient".
It was a lot of fun and all the children enjoyed the activities tremendously.
Foreign teacher Ms. Kirsten admires the childrens "stitching skills".
It takes a steady hand to pull the string through the small holes in the paper carefully.
Ms. Hinata from 107 shows excellent fine-motor control while stitching.
