Dear parents,
Thank you for another great week with your wonderful children.
This week we hosted the parent / class meetings where you got a deeper insight into what your teachers have taught during the past weeks, what sort of progress your children have made and what kind of challenges we are still working on. A lot of beautiful artwork along with curriculum resources & books were on display as well for the meetings.

On the news section you can also find a small photo article about our chef preparing hand-made cookies for the meetings as well as a small article about Ms. Gillian, our most senior curriculum consultant, who have honored us with a one month visit from Singapore.
As you know from previous notice, the swimming pool will commence “coaching programs for K1 & K2 levels” from next week. Even though the initial deadline for sign-ups is this week (incl. Monday next week), you’re welcome to enquire for availability directly with Ms. Hazel

These weeks you might have noticed that Newton teachers have received uniforms, dark purple zip-up fleece and white cotton shirts and will be receiving their winter uniforms in the coming weeks. Just as students, teachers are required to wear uniforms on Mondays to Fridays. In connection to this, I once more emphasize that we do require all students to wear full uniforms and Newton school bags from Monday-Friday, not just pants, but also shirts, vests, coats and soon winter jackets. If you do not have enough items to keep clean, please order more.
Currently 90-95 percent of all students wear uniforms as advised by the school, in fairness to them, teachers will be contacting parents of students who neglect wearing uniforms, to ensure standard dress-code.
About next week’s additional school arrangements, Nursery classes will be going on an outing to the Zoo, K1 to the fire-station and K2 to the weather-bureau; I wish all children and teachers a ton of fun!
Management wise, we will be welcoming principal and school leader Mr. Kim Funk Johannessen from our friendship school “Oelsted Skole, SFO & Kindergarten”, Denmark for talks about cultural exchange and teacher training arrangements for the coming year.
