The south garden, adjacent to the playground has grown beautiful produce and is almost ready to harvest. With a variety of cabbage, spinach, radishes, Daikon and baby carrots teachers and students will go to the garden and examine growth, pick a few items and bring back to the class-room for cooking and tasting experiments.
As an environmentally friendly place of education it is our goal that children develop an appreciation of nature, it's seasons, animals and plants. Through observing plants growing, children gain a better understanding of time, weather and caring.
We look forward to spring next year when we are going to sow crops again!
