On Wednesday the 7th of March, 4 visitors from the Helsinki Metropolitan Area Reuse Centre visited us together with Ms. Crystal from Nor-Link, Suzhou.
The Helsinki centre is a non-profit organization working for the benefit of the local communities. Their mission is to improve the state of the environment by reducing the amount of waste and by offering an alternative to single-use culture, while providing employment opportunities and recycling options. After giving a tour of the Hui Xin campus and introducing area's of every day life where we try to instill environmental friendly values in our students and employee's the 4 representatives were welcomed to our K2-403 class-room where they had a lesson about "The World", using a big blue earth where children could open small pockets and find interesting animals, such as sealions, panda's and parrots spread around the globe. The children also learnt to keep a rhythm using castanets made from recycled cardboard and bottle caps and finished with a more modern touch, as they made small animation clips on tablets together with their new friends.
It was a fun day and a great visit!
We wish to continue working with companies that make it their business to care for our planet!
Sincerely,
Anders S Christensen
