Dear new students who are starting in the school year of 2018/2019,
We are thrilled to welcome you to the campus family and look forward to get to know you and your parents/grandparents better. We kindly ask parents to read through the parent handbook on LINK 1 and read more about the campus philosophy and mission statement on LINK 2, you can also find the semester calendars on LINK 3. Throughout the last weeks of school before the summer holiday, teachers will call and introduce themselves, share information of the upcoming class and remind new parents of the Meet & Greet on Saturday, August 19th (the new international domestic nursery class will have Meet & Greet one week early on August 12th and have already been informed in May). During the 2nd week of August, before school start teachers will call you again with a specific time and class-number for you to meet your teachers and class-mates at the Meet & Greet.
It is important that you prepare yourself over the summer and begin to adjust both you and your child to the daily life and routine of kindergarten life at Newton Hui Xin campus.
- Please let your child wake-up no later than 7:00-7:30 in the morning, to prepare them for peaceful arrival at school between 8:00-9:00. Late arrivals, after 9:00 will not be able to enter... it is crucial you are not late, especially in the beginning as both you and your child would get off to a less than optimal start.
- Breakfast is served at school at approx. 9:00. However, we still recommend serving a small snack at home if your child wakes up early.
- Lunch is served at 11:30 and feature popular Asian & Western dishes equally, with emphasis on good quality fruit, juices, dairy, yoghurt, milk, butter and fibre-foods.
- Nap-time for PN, N & K1 students is from 12:30-14:00 with individual soft wake-ups.
- Please let your child help with house chores, clean up by themselves and contribute to the family life at home to prepare them for the social learning and self-help expectations at campus.
* Please be informed that only Summer Camp classes for old Newton students are running during the summer holiday. The school services and administration services is limited from July 16th to/incl. August 12th.
** From July 16th to/incl. August 5th, Hui Xin principal Mr. Anders S C will be away for summer break.
