On July 14th 18 members of the Newton Hui Xin family went on a 7 days, 6 nights teambuilding trip to the magical island of Bali, under the careful guidance of vice-principal Ms. Tina and senior level leader Ms. Sunny.
Bali was named the world's top destination on Trip Advisor and is part of the "Coral Triangle", which is famous for its abundant biodiversity and reef-building coral species. Further, Bali is famous for art, dancing and music, including the Balinese percussion orchestra known as "Gamelan" with its unique and varied sounds. Bali people are deeply rooted in the Balinese / Indonesian Hindu religion with thousands of temples and hundreds of yearly local festivals.
To begin the tour our troupe stayed at Kuta Beach, where they explored the liveliness, food and cultural scene of the capital city of Denpasar.
On the 3rd day they moved from the hustle and bustle of the bigger city to the calm serene of Ubud. Known for its jungle, hanging gardens and thousands of temples, teachers enjoyed the tranquility both in and around their Samsara Spa & Resort hotel.
Part of the bigger excursions included going to Pura Besakih Temple, Tegenungan Waterfall and spending a day snorkeling, diving, parachute gliding and relaxing on the Nusa Lembongan Island beach, accessible by speedboat.
The last few days was spent at Conrad Resorts on the most southern part of Bali at Benoa on the peninsular of the famous Nusa Dua beach.
It was an amazing and fun filled beach holiday with warm sun, cool breeze and a refreshingly comfortable ocean with Newton friends and family. Together our brave adventures ventured around the southern part of the island and explored a variety of cultural as well as scenic sights, while building team memories.
