On behalf of everyone at Newton, Hui Xin campus we wish you an amazing New Year's Eve and a fantastic 2021!

As the year of 2020 comes to an end we joined together at campus to welcome the new year with many fun and festive games and as we looked back on the previous year, we focused on the many things we have to be thankful for and the moments we cherish from school.

Below you can find a note from each level at campus who wishes to share one of their favorite and most memorable events from the year 2020 with you!

Pre-Nursery Dress Up for Halloween
Seeing our youngest ones get familiar with each other and growing meant a lot to us. Every day was really special, so it is hard to pick just one event. Even though Halloween is usually more for the older students at campus, we were surprised at how much our littlest ones enjoyed the day and how they loved seeing dressed up friends at school. It makes sense actually, because they all love the role-play area and toy kitchen's in the class-room and easily adapt to imaginary games.

Nursery's Fun Days

Due to Covid-19 restrictions many of our usual happenings had to change this year. However, we also got to do completely new ones, such as the "Fun Days" event at campus. It was great planning it and seeing how excited kids were to do cheer-dance, sports games, tumbling in the soft-play-area and enjoying the bubble show!

K1's Appreciation of Unity

This year was very special indeed! Unity week meant a lot to us because it, especially this year, showed us how important it is to stick together and help each other! We focused on teamwork and how if we all work together we can accomplish amazing things! One of the games that stood out was how we moved a mountain as a team! It was a lot of fun!

K2's Christmas Surprise!

Even though it is very recent. K2 teachers and our students agree that one of the most memorable moments for us was preparing the Christmas surprise for  when parents came to pick-up students after the party. We had tried to keep it a secret, as best we could, and it really meant a lot to all of us seeing your happy faces as we put on a new kind of winter show, using the corridors as our stage, something we had never done before. Most importantly, it was a chance for our wonderful children to work together and give something back as Christmas is the season of giving, not receiving.

Today, on the last day of the year, children made New Year art and did countdown games. As a tradition the older students learned about the yearly calendar and time concepts. Talking about time in general and how when the clock strikes 12 on December 31st, we have entered a brand new year!

2020 will forever be remembered in not just history books, but our collective memories as the year where we truly learned how connected we all are and how our planet breathes as one! In the midst of a turbulent year we gained appreciation for each other and the things we once took for granted.

As we look forward to the year of 2021, we wish to remember the things that 2020 taught us and never to forget that every day is a new beginning and an opportunity to learn and try something new.

新纽顿会心园全体教职员工在此祝您新年快乐，喜迎2021！

2020已到尾声，我们欢聚在校园里，用有趣的节日游戏，优美的舞蹈迎接新的一年。回首过往，记忆把我们拉回那些值得感恩的事情，聚焦于校园里那值得珍惜的点滴时刻。

以下您可看到每个年级在园内相关活动照片，宝贝们也想与你们共享2020年在校园里他们最爱的、记忆深刻的活动。

托班万圣节装饰

随着最小的宝贝们开始熟悉彼此，逐渐长大对我们来说意义重大，我们也感到万分欣慰。与他们度过的每一天都是如此的与众不同。虽然中大班孩子更能理解万圣节的意义，但我们也惊讶的发现托班宝贝们是如此的享受这一天活动，我们也很惊喜的看到孩子们在校园里穿上特色服饰，活动的意义就在于此。正因为他们喜欢在教室里进行角色扮演，乐于在玩具厨房里烹饪食物，所以这样的活动能激发他们的想象力。

小班欢乐日

为响应政府关于新冠疫情的各项限制举措，我们也对本年度各项活动做出调整。相应地，我们能有机会改变思路，为孩子们创造一个全新的校内活动，例如“儿童欢乐日”。看到孩子们欢快起舞，做体育游戏，在软包玩具区一起嬉笑成一团，沉浸于梦幻泡泡秀里，我们更坚信这项活动是多么的有意义啊！

中班感恩团结日活动

这一年的确与众不同。团结周对我们来说意义重大，尤其是这一年，在这活动里我们能看到大家是如何团结在一起，互帮互助！我们关注于团队合作及只有合作才能使我们完成更多有意义且不同寻常的事项。这其中有一个移山游戏，非常特别且很有趣！

大班圣诞惊喜表演

虽然圣诞才刚过不久，但大班全体师生们不约而同的认为最难忘的时刻之一就是大家为圣诞惊喜做准备，因为家长会在表演结束后接领幼儿回家。我们尽可能把这份惊喜神秘化，当看到家长们脸上洋溢着喜悦的笑容时，我们知道即便这场冬日表演改变了形式，它依旧意义重大。（走廊成为了舞台，这是以往都不曾做过的）更重要的是，表演之中大家共同合作，互相帮助，这间接传达了一个信息，即圣诞节是给予而非索取的季节。

在2020年的最后一天，小朋友们做了一些新年装饰品，还进行了倒计时游戏。在这个游戏里，中大班宝贝们初步理解年历，掌握基本的时间观念；初步讲授时间的知识点，让孩子们知道当时钟在2020年12 月31号午夜指向12点的时候，我们就迈进了新年的大门！

2020年将不仅被记载于史书上，它也将存留于人类的共同记忆之中。就是这一年，我们才真正明白大家是命运共同体，在一个地球上，我们同呼吸，共命运！在这动荡不平凡的一年里，我们才学会感激那些曾认为理所当然的事情。（家人的陪伴，爱，理解等等）

在翘首期盼着2021年的同时，也希望我们能铭记2020年教会我们的事情，不要忘记每天都是新的开始，每天都代表着一个学习和尝试新事物的机会。
