On October 15th senior English teacher Mr. Nick Johnstone shared his experience in using "Total Physical Response" techniques in the class-room and how it helps the children's language development.
For children of all ages, it can be a challenge to learn new languages, especially ones different from the one our parents speak at home.
The useful concept "TPR" teachings, using the body as a visual language cue, is gaining popularity and already being used in many pre-school programs where children, who are not yet ready to "express" or verbally sound out words, can take part in language activities simply by moving their body, as a physical recognition and emotional encouragement.
Thank you very much Mr. Nick for the very fun and educational training.
you CAN do it! (can - make two empowering fists)
I AM happy! (am - cross both hands infront of chest)
Training segment #1 included 5 English language teachers.
