Dear parents,
We would like to thank all of you for a wonderful year together and on behalf of everyone at Hui Xin campus I wish you a wonderful year of the sheep (otherwise known as year of the goat). The sheep is the 8th zodiac and as the number 8 is a very auspicious number, it promises to be a good year indeed!
Looking back at last week's Spring Festival & Charity event, words cannot describe how honored I feel in regards to your generous contributions at this year's charity event on February 6th. Our goal was to raise 20,000 RMB for the Charity Fund, but was far succeeded when we did the count. Together we have raised 32,235 RMB (thirty two thousand, two hundred and thirty five renminbi) for charity... Good job everyone! Throughout the year, articles will be featured on our website
www.internewton.com/hxj/en featuring updates as the money are distributed in cooperation with our parent trustees who took part in the count-up last Friday at noon.
Today we have finished sign-up's for the enrichment programs with commencement in March. Some programs are full, but others still have availability and you are warmly welcomed to check with your class' teachers if you are still interested in letting your child have fun enrichment activities at school.
At this occasion I would like to inform all parents that there will be a slight increase in tuition costs from next school year,
semester starting from mid-august 2015 as we will be including swimming / pool lessons for Nursery, K1 & K2 students, who will visit the pool once per week together with their class' teachers.
Trusted class teachers together with pool instructors will help facilitate a good and positive water routine where children will learn, not just to play in water but to swim from an early age. Swimming is considered a necessary safety skill in many countries and with our wonderful facilities here at Hui Xin campus we strive to make all students confident in water.
One of the first big events/themes of the new semester will be the "Festival of Colors", which takes place from March 16th - 27th. During these two week's all parents will be encouraged to come to class and teach your class about your home country, your traditions, your typical food, arts, music etc. It will be a fun good time with lots of international awareness! Please consider your involvement over the holidays as teachers will be contacting you during the 1st week back :).
Finally, as you know, the school is closing for Chinese New Year holiday from/including February 14th to March 1st and will re-open on March 2nd, 2015! I look forward to another wonderful year and to see you personally during the Festival of Colors theme weeks.
Have a great holiday everyone!
