On February 2nd, Hui Xin campus opened a new Pre-nursery class in room 306. 6 students at first, that will be joined by several new friends in March, after the Spring Festival holiday.
During the class' first two weeks class-teacher Ms. Elsa, Ms. Briana and Ms. Alain has been helping the children adjust and settle into the routines of going to Kindergarten... A very important first step of a child's life!
We are happy to report that most of the children stopped crying after only 2 days and have begun taking a very active part in daily routines and begun making those important first friendships as well as improving both self-help skills, social capabilities, verbal and non-verbal communication.
During this week Mr. Anders visited the class on many occasions and not only took part in the daily activities, but conducted a few of his own, to the amusement of the children. Ms. Elsa taught children safety and self-help lessons and read the book "mom & dad gives baby a hug". Ms. Briana read stories about "The busy rabbit" and taught children wonderful lessons about colors, shapes and together everyone finished a beautiful bear, made out of only circles... The kids sang "Who Stole The Cookies From The Cookie Jar", "Two Little Dicky Birds" and finally on Friday, the last day before the Spring holiday the whole class had fun making traditional Chinese sticky rice-balls... which, similar to play-dough is a lot of fun to manipulate and shape.
On behalf of all of the 306 teachers and entire staff at Hui Xin campus, we sincerely welcome our new class of 306 to the campus and look forward to see you all back in March.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
