Dear parents,
The weather is getting colder, but our hearts are filled with warmth as the Holiday Season has finally arrived! Christmas is an important western holiday that, much as Chinese New Year and other cultural holidays, is a chance to spend time with our families and loved ones while enjoying good traditional food and winter cheer!
I hope you have enjoyed the month of December with hand-made decorations at school, real Christmas trees, recycled Christmas wreaths from branches, berries and ribbons and most importantly wonderful crafts made by our students in participation with parents! and let’s not forget the big Christmas party at The Hyatt Regency… Again, we can’t thank you enough for your beautiful and tasty home-cooked foods that everyone got to experience. Good job everyone!
It has been an extraordinary 2014 at Hui Xin campus with many exciting events and 2015 will be no different, where we celebrate Chinese New Year by hosting a “Charity Drive” at campus, Our “Festival of Colors” theme weeks, “Children’s Day”, “Spring Fieldtrip”, “Sports Day” & “Graduation Ceremony”.
As we are finishing the year, I would like to remind parents that for the foreign section, we will be closed 1 week for Christmas (Dec. 20th-28th), but will be open for 3 days between Christmas & New Year on Dec. 29th, 30th & 31st. As many of our foreign families will be taking extended Christmas holidays, our foreign staff is going home to see their families as well. Some in such exotic places like Alaska, St. Louise and California which means they will be absent during the 3 open days (Dec. 29th, 30th & 31st)
School buses will be operating as regular during the 3 open days, even though student attendance is expected to drop with about half due to family’s holiday arrangements.
Throughout the entire Christmas period our accountant and offices will still be open, facilitating timely payment of tuition fees for next semester.
The school will close entirely for New Year on Jan. 1st & 2nd and will re-open in 2015 on Jan. 5th.
Enrichment sign-ups for 2
nd semester will be taking place in January and for the “membership of the swimming pool”, parents who have already signed-up will receive a form to fill-out in advance of its opening which will be from 2
nd week of January, January 12
th and onwards.
Finally to all of you! My Christmas wish for you “Health, happiness & may all your dreams come true”. “Lots of presents under the tree and good times wherever you may be!”
Sincerely,
Anders Sjoegaard Christensen
Hui Xin Campus Principal
