Today, February 9th the students of Newton Hui Xin campus, together with an overwhelming parent & grandparent presence made meat dumplings and sweet sticky rice-balls. Today is the last day before the school closes for the Spring Festival holiday and as tradition we had invited parents / grandparents and relatives to come on in and join the fun.
Many classes had more than 10 family members joining and a few had all parents come in, it was fantastic! and probably our largest turn out, in the history of doing our "dumpling-a-thon's". Though we quickly lost track of the number of dumplings made, it is safe to say that this year's beats the previous year with a lot, so many in fact, that we had to improvise and our chef's served fried dumplings for parents and grandparents coming to pick-up in the afternoon at the gate :). Amazing!
