On March 27th and 28th the Suzhou fire brigade allocated two red fire-trucks and personnel to visit our campus and help teach our students the importance of a fire fighters job and what to do in case of an emergency. In connection with evacuation drills on March 29th students from Pre-nursery to K2 saw how quickly a fire fighter can get into his uniform and they tried themselves to carry buckets of water while wearing a genuine fire fighter helmet.
The red & chrome sparkling clean and shiny fire trucks are fantastic machines! Capable to carry fire fighters into the danger zone, lift them up on ladders to enter dangerous buildings and to save people in need. The fire truck is equipped with sirens (they were very loud), flashing lights, ladders, hoses, nozzles, axes, rope, head gear, communication systems, levers, buttons, dials and much much more. It was exciting to hold the various nozzles and feel the fire retardant materials of the fire fighters suits and boots.
Every class would remember to thank the fire fighters for risking their lives to keep us all safe. Thank you very much "Suzhou Fire Brigade" for taking good care of us every day and teaching us about your fantastic work.
Sincerely,
Newton Kindergarten
