On March 22nd we concluded the fun and colorful theme weeks known as "The Festival of Colors". As previous years it continues to be a strong yearly occasion of unity through beautiful diversity.
It is awesome to know how big, diverse and colorful this world really is and how lucky we are at this point in time, in Suzhou to be able to know so many friends from other countries or parts of China. In total we had more than 130 presentations ranging from dances, music, games, arts and crafts and cooking activities. We learned to say "hello" in many different ways and looked at traditional costumes from different countries.. I thoroughly believe these events and the cooperation between parents and teachers for the benefit of learning social values and sharing cultural traditions serves as the ultimate role model for children with an international future.
On the last day of the event we had a "pop-up" Spirit Day where children could wear their flags colors to school or wear a traditional piece of clothing, either from history or home country/regions.
