Festive Fun: Ushering in the New Year
The event began at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event in a warm and energetic atmosphere. Through a series of exciting activities, parents and children experienced the rich festive spirit and holiday cheer.
Folklore Market: A Feast for the Senses
The Newton Charity Market was a true celebration of the New Year. The rhythmic beat of lion dances, the calls of folk artists, the dazzling array of goods from charitable vendors, and the steaming delicacies from the food stalls painted a vivid picture of traditional New Year festivities. Children and adults alike joyfully explored the market, selecting New Year trinkets, savoring traditional treats, and enjoying folk performances. Newton's original merchandise, the plush toys "Iron Pot Stew" and "Rou Jia Mo (Chinese burger)," became instant favorites, with their playful, pretend-play vending style bringing simple joy to all ages.
DIY Crafts and Games: Ingenious Fun
The teachers revitalized traditional games like pot throwing and ring toss with creative twists, such as "Beanbag Throw" and "Ring Toss." Laughter filled every game room. In the craft workshops, children immersed themselves in traditional culture, creating printed New Year blessings, twisting snake crafts, crafting "Good Fortune" knots, and painting wish-fulfilling fans. These festive creations quietly emerged, carrying with them the spirit of folk culture amidst the jubilant atmosphere.
Magical Character Studio: Dreams Do Come True
In the "Cartoon Photo Studio," parent volunteers dressed as Disney princesses and Marvel superheroes interacted with children, posing for photos and creating beaming smiles. The "New Year-themed Photo Studio" offered families the opportunity to capture heartwarming moments with New Year-themed family portraits.
Gathering Love: Practicing Kindness and Spreading Warmth
Alongside the lively fair, acts of kindness unfolded, embodying the profound meaning of "embracing love."
Charity Donations: Small Gestures, Big Impact
At the donation area, parents and children generously contributed to the charities supported. The "Newton New Year Scratch-Off" added a touch of fun to the giving, allowing families to brighten lives and win lucky prizes.
Charity Sale: A Confluence of Love
The highly anticipated "Newton Charity Sale" attracted a large number of participants. From children's handmade crafts to toys, children's clothing, small appliances donated by parents and teachers, and newly added this year, handmade pillows and artwork from children with autism, the sale buzzed with activity. Each item sold carried a message of hope and blessing.
Charity Lucky Bags: United in Spreading Love
On the auction stage, 21 "Charity Lucky Bags" from each class embarked on a journey of love. These bags represented not only a collection of thoughtful gifts but also a collective expression of love from the students and parents of each class. From the meticulous preparation by parent volunteers to the collective contribution of items by each family, culminating in the completion and auctioning of the lucky bags, the process showcased how small acts of kindness can converge into a powerful demonstration of love.
Charity Challenge Arena: Fun-Filled Fundraising
In the "Charity Challenge Arena," parents and teachers competed on stage in fun-filled challenges to contribute to the fundraising efforts. The spirited competition on stage and the laughter from the audience transformed every act of giving into a cherished memory.
Hugs for Charity: A Warm Embrace of Love
In the winter wonderland of the New Year campus, "Fuzzy Hugs Village," a heartwarming "Hugs for Charity” Contest unfolded. Encouraged by enthusiastic teacher ambassadors, children and parents embraced one another, accumulating points on the live scoreboard and raising the temperature of love with each hug.
The success of this charity drive was made possible by the active participation and generous support of every parent, teacher, and charitable vendor. Thanks to everyone's contributions, we raised a total of RMB XXXXXX. All proceeds from the fundraising and charity sale will be donated to the Small Animal Protection Association, Suzhou Industrial Park Snow Lotus Student Aid Association, Suzhou Autism Research Society, and Suzhou Industrial Park Tang Mama Charity Center, bringing warmth to those in need. We will continue to publish detailed information on the donations and their usage. Please stay tuned!
The 2025 Newton New Year Charity Drive concluded amidst laughter and love. May this warmth and affection take root and blossom in the hearts of every child. Newton will continue to embrace love, spread warmth, and illuminate the future with kindness!
