Cultivating Love: Gratitude for Parents
We express our gratitude for the nurturing and love provided by our parents.
Our youngest learners embarked on a storybook adventure with "Guess How Much I Love You," experiencing the boundless love of parents.
Meanwhile, our nursery class explored the heartwarming tale of "A House is a Window," discovering that home is a place filled with love, happiness, and hope.
These stories sparked a deep understanding of parental love and the warmth of family, planting the seeds of gratitude in their young hearts.
Inspired by these stories, our PN children created heartfelt handprints, each mark a symbol of pure love and appreciation. Our Nursery children transformed into little artists, crafting Thanksgiving gifts for their parents, each stroke and detail infused with deep gratitude.
Cultivating Love: Gratitude for Nature
We give thanks for nature's gifts and creations.
Our K1 children ventured outdoors for a sunlit exploration of gratitude for nature. Through the book "Be Thankful for Trees," they learned about the vital role trees play in our lives, further reinforced by hands-on scientific exploration.
They crafted beautiful crowns from colorful autumn leaves, sharing stories that expressed not only their thankfulness for nature but also their love and appreciation for their families.
Cultivating Love: Gratitude for the World
We appreciate the beauty and warmth the world offers.
Through the story "Thank You," our K2 children discovered the hidden beauty and meaning in everyday things. Engaging in lively discussions, they recognized the value these things bring to our lives, learning to see the world through a lens of gratitude.
They expressed their thankfulness through heartfelt cards and warm embraces, appreciating the small joys and beautiful moments in life.
Thanksgiving Celebration: A Festive Turkey Carnival
At Newton, Thanksgiving is not only heartwarming but also filled with laughter and joy. Our children enjoyed a variety of fun, turkey-themed activities. They danced to lively music, joined in a "Turkey Pairing" game, and collaborated in the "Turkey Trot" challenge. These playful experiences immersed them in the festive spirit, fostering valuable qualities like teamwork and perseverance.
Every holiday holds special educational significance. At Newton, we use Thanksgiving as an opportunity to sow the seeds of gratitude, nurturing them to blossom and flourish in sunny days filled with appreciation. This is our precious gift to our students.
