Dear Parents,
At beginning of the week Pre-Nursery and Nursery classes had "Fun Days!" at campus in lieu of their annual Autumn fieldtrips.
While this year does not allow us to go outside in bigger groups, with parents attending, it did not stop us from arranging a fun filled, high energy, big excitement and very rewarding event for our littlest ones together at campus!
In the gym-room we used the occasion to inaugurate our new "Soft Play Land" where we installed thick protective gym mats covered by a soft carpet featuring many large motor skill development tools for jumping, balancing, crawling and tumbling. With an additional jumping castle for the occasion and guided by skilled coaches and teachers the kids had a ton of fun and everyone asked,
can we go again? Yes you can, every week! We are very proud to open this new area at campus, as we observe how quickly children improve their mobility skills and how they love challenging themselves.
We invited trainers and coaches from "My Little Gym" to teach students cheer-dancing, holding red colorful pom-poms, while moving in circles, shapes and jumping. It was so much fun and the kids did great!
Further, the children joined small group Lego lesson where Lego teacher Mr. Gu taught them logic in construction as they followed steps to make a wonderful Play House out of Lego bricks. Lego is a wonderful toy to develop both logic and imagination! Needless to say, all students enjoyed and loved the building activity!
To round off the day, nursery level leader Ms. Sunny had invited a "Bubble Show Magician" to come to school and do individual performances for each Pre-Nursery and Nursery class. With positive and upbeat music playing, the "Magician" created big, small and thousands of bubbles to the delight of our children who went chasing round the court to catch and maybe Pop! the biggest bubbles. It was a fun and bubbly silly ending to a fantastic time at kindergarten!
