On October 22nd the whole campus at Bayside Garden did it's semesterly "Earthquake & Fire-Emergency Evacuation Drill".
At 10:50 the "Earthquake Alarm" sounded and children were instructed to "dug, cover and hold on" while finding cover under the nearest tables.
At 10:53 the "Fire-Emergency / Evacuation Alarm" sounded and children would quickly assemble in a line, covering their mouths from "smoke" and following their class-teachers to the emergency evacuation point on the playground.
The drill went well and most children found it very interesting, while not forgetting the seriousness of the practice.
Sincerely,
Newton Kindergarten
