Ms. Yetta, co-teacher of K2-404 conducted an exciting science and nature lesson with her students on September 23rd, 2016.
Children went on an excursion around campus to discover fallen organic material. branches, seeds and leaves all left clues of natural events, maybe a storm, a change in weather, seasons, maybe flowers had bloomed and leaves had blown off trees. We could even find small seeds on the ground, when we looked really carefully.
It was a very interesting and compelling lesson, which children were intrigued and motivated by.
Thank you Yetta!
Children have gathered interesting leaves, seeds and soil to compare.
Comparing and sizing samples of soil, seeds, branches and leaves.
Ms. Yetta explains how we can find traces on the ground, from plants and trees.
