Dear parents,
The weather is getting colder and the sun sets earlier. Leaves are turning orange, red and brown and it's only a matter of time before Autumn becomes Winter and the special holiday season begins.
At this time, children from K1 & K2 levels are singing Christmas carols in preparation for their big events on December 1st & 2nd. Our brand new theater is being finished with projector, curtains and stage lights for its grand opening at the Christmas parties. In advance we have prepared several "Newton Christmas Special" videos with photos, cartoons, singing, special introductions by teachers and a holiday greeting from Santa himself that children from PN & N will enjoy together with parents at their family events.
This year the Christmas events will have more meaning for children of all levels, where the little ones can enjoy quality time with teachers and family members, celebrate Christmas by decorating trees, dancing together and even making gingerbread men, while having assigned times to visit Santa and enjoying the opening of our theater. As every year, parents will help by taking part-in the festivities and preparing amazing special home-made foods, which we share at lunch/dinner.
These days you will notice beautiful decorations done by teachers, wreaths on each class-room door, Christmas stars in the lobby and real trees being moved to the class-rooms. Nothing beats the feeling of having a real, breathing tree, keeping the industry for "real and organic" Christmas trees alive, while enjoying the scent and atmosphere a real pine creates as well as appreciating the responsibility of taking care of it and watering it. If any of you are interested in acquiring a real tree for your home, please do not hesitate to ask Ms. Cindy or I for our supplier's contact information.
Finally, I want to thank parents for their participation, today and the days before I have seen many parents come to school, to help the classes decorate for the Christmas month and I know how thankful the teachers are to get a helping hand! Even though it is not actually Christmas yet, we are off to a great start and we are ready to celebrate the holiday season by our campus' Christmas family events on Dec. 1st, 2nd and 3rd... Have a great month & a very Merry Christmas.
Sincerely,
Anders Sjoegaard Christensen
