Delicious meals every day
We eat great foods and grow up strong and healthy at Newton!
The day starts with a tasty and nutritious breakfast!
Newton's professional team of chefs and pastry chef have moved beyond the common packed breakfast snacks of most kindergartens to a daily surprise full of self-made good nutrition and flavor, which brings joy and energy to our students as they prepare for an active day of play and learning.
Newton chefs work like magicians in the kitchen as they turn fresh, raw ingredients into a vast variety of delicious dishes of unique flavors for our happy and growing students.
Teachers use every opportunity to make foods and meal time educational in class while always appreciating the hard work of the kitchen and farmers who prepare and cultivate our foods.
Seasonal food is a natural part of our festivals
We learn about the world and international customs through foods!
Newton's international diversity is reflected in our teachings and the meals we serve. Through careful research and development the kitchen team use traditional food items to create authentic festival dishes from around the world and let children truly use all their senses to explore the world and it's amazing food customs.
Dumplings for Chinese New Year, moon cakes for Mid-Autumn Festival, pumpkin pie for Halloween, roast turkey for Thanksgiving day and gingerbread houses for Christmas.
Children taste the flavors of the world in each meal while learning about the festivals and the culture behind each unique dish!
New dishes are developed with love
We feel the season and it's delicacies in our seasonal meals!
Food is a gift from nature and every kind of vegetable and fruit grow from a seed, take root, sprout, bear fruit and is harvested in seasons. Our head chef use seasonal specialties to develop fresh and delicious children's meals. When the weather is warm we prepare light meals that relieve heat. In Autumn and the colder winter months meals are hearty and warm while helping to keep our throat moist to avoid dryness and seasonal infections.
The considerations behind each dish spans seasonality, availability of the freshest ingredients and their relationship to the festivals celebrated at campus while always being tasty, healthy and nutritious to ensure children's growth.
Meal time is also a social experience as we sit down with our friends and families at school to enjoy and share food together. With each bite we share a common taste experience that puts a smile on our face and transport us to new and exciting places on the culinary world map.
May all our students remember the taste and wonder of childhood through the food we serve at Newton Hui Xin kindergarten!
