Dear parents,
I would like to thank you for a wonderful school year at Hui Xin campus.
In particular, I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the families of our K2 classes who graduated this year. Thank you for your many years of participation and support, I have rarely seen a more competent graduating class and I am confident that all graduates will adapt to their respective primary schools with ease. It is sad to see you go, but I know you will continue to inspire your class-mates and teachers as you have here. We wish you all the best in your further education and life.
Saying goodbye to our graduates is a sad fact of kindergarten, but luckily, a vast majority of our PN, N & K1 students are returning next school year, with one of the lowest attendance drops in our history.
Out of 19 classes next year (up from 15 classes this year) the Nursery level is already full with very limited availability for PN & K1 levels and just a handful of placements for K2 are currently available. Therefore, Newton parents with siblings who would like to register their youngest ones with start from 2nd semester, February 2016 please contact admissions
admissions-hxj@internewton.com at the very beginning of September, 2015, to have priority to enter.
For your further consideration, our calendar has been online for several weeks on
www.internewton.com/hxj, under the information - calendar section. However, there might be adjustments made in relation to the governments public holiday planning which was recently changed to include 1-2 days closure at beginning of September (we will send an update if this change requires all schools & kindergartens to observe the closure as well).
Next year's level leader arrangement will be Ms. Monroe (Pre-nursery), Ms. Mandy (Nursery), Ms. Pauline (K1) & Ms. Shirkey (K2) who all hold the Newton experience to guide every teacher under their level and I know they will be happy to answer questions by parents of their respective levels. Further, we are welcoming 3 new international teachers in the coming school year. Mr. Paul Laban from New Zealand who is a PE coach and has 2 years of teaching kindergarten experience, you might have met him already this week or will have the chance to in the future. Ms. Tarryn Bohlken, who joined our Summer Concert and visited the class-rooms for one week, at end of June already, is an experienced teacher with a wonderful natural care for children. Finally, Ms. Carrie Lambrecht from Milwaukee, USA with more than 15 years of experience, will join the Newton family of teachers from August.
I look forward to see many of you at the Meet & Greet on August 15th (Saturday, casual arrivals during periods 9:30 - 11:30 & afternoon period 12:30 - 14:30), where you will receive important documents from the school and get to meet and have a talk with your teachers. If you cannot make the Meet & Greet, you will receive a phone call from your teachers to advice you about semester start arrangements after 14:30 on August 15th (if you are not in the country, please bring your child to school on their first day to receive the documents in person).
Finally, Have a wonderful summer wherever you chose to spend it, and thank you for a great year!
Sincerely,
Anders Sjoegaard Christensen
