Sports Day of PN
“The Piglets Wonderful Farm Adventure”
Today witnessed the Pre-Nursery’s annual sports day. And what a special day it was! The students explored Newton’s ‘Farm Adventure’ and were reminded how important an active lifestyle is and how the changing of the seasons affects our lives.
PN’s "Little Pig Farm Adventure" sports day kicked off with everyone’s eager anticipation. The farm theme was evident throughout the whole event, with some special farm animals, the little piglets, taking centre stage. Come and follow in the footsteps of our little piglets!
The little piglets firstly entered the fruitful apple orchard. Seeing that the trees were full of big red apples, the piglets carried their baskets and crossed a number of obstacles. Enjoy the gift of harvest, little ones!
There are so many crops on the farm! Turning around, the inquisitive little piglets reached another cropland. Looking at the corn and potatoes, the little piglets couldn't wait to climb the hillside, bypass the haystacks, finally arrive at the apple trees, and then return with full loads of delicious fruits.
When passing by the pond, they found that the water inside was dirty! The piglets said, "We must quickly help the little fish get a clean home!" Then they rolled up their sleeves, picked up the fishing nets, and started a fishing competition. After a while, the little fish were transported to the large, clean water pool. All the piglets were happily cheering!
As all of our children are familiar with the story of the "Three Little Pigs" we thought it was time for that story to come to life! As the little pigs were celebrating the harvest with a happy dance in front of the newly built wooden house, the big bad wolf was hiding in the corner, staring at them and thinking about what a good meal he was going to have!
Run! With the order of Mother Pig, everyone quickly ran to a safe area and avoided the big bad wolf from catching them. It was thrilling!
Today’s trip to the farm was so much fun. All the little piglets squealed and jumped happily when making the rainbow umbrella fly up and down. The piglets took delight in making the leaves in the rainbow umbrella sway and dance...
Through celebrating the harvest, the piglets showed they were not afraid to face any difficulties or obstacles, and actively and bravely explored the farm. Mother Pig presented each brave pig with a medal of victory. They had an unforgettable day at the farm!
Even though we were unable to go to an actual farm together for our planned field trip (due to Covid restrictions) we still wished to let the children have a chance to experience their first sports day - so the teachers brought the farm to the campus! After careful planning and arrangement, all was ready and the children were magically transformed into the cute animals of the farm; the “little piglets”. Although they were not accompanied by their parents, the PN children still spent a wonderful and happy sports day together with their teachers and friends!
