What a week it has been for our little Newton learners! We have been celebrating our Festival of Colors which is a time of year we study about the different cultures around the world and the variety of people we can meet. This year each classroom was assigned one country to become experts of. They spent the week studying the food, clothing, animals, landmarks, language and more. On Friday students personalized and decorated their very own Newton passports which they were able to take on a tour of our little world. In each classroom they could look at the different decorations and learn about the county that class had been studying. Before they left the "country" they received a country stamp from the teacher to show that they had been there. Everyone excitedly participated and were happy to show their friends and teachers the different places they had seen. Next week we have more fun planned for our second week of Festival of Colors, so stay tuned!
