Tis
the season to be jolly! Christmas is a wonderful time of year filled
with joy, love, and laughter. This year Newton celebrated the holiday
season with two Christmas parties held at the Suzhou Hyatt Regency. The
pre-nursery and nursery classes had their festivities on the evening of
Monday December 12th, and K1 and K2 classes were on Tuesday December
13th. Staff and families dressed in their nicest clothes to celebrate the holiday in style!
At the entrance of the party room was a display of christmas crafts
hand made by the students, and the Christmas classroom photo. Children
were excited show their parents what they made with their teachers.
There was a variety decorations including snowmen, Christmas trees and
paper bag reindeer. After children showed off their craft skills to their parents they went to have their photo taken with Santa.
The evening began
with the room dimly lit as children walked in with their classes
holding candles. The song 'Silent Night' played as all the little angels
made their way to the stage. When they were all gathered the lights
came up and the children sang to their parents "We Wish You A Merry
Christmas". As the children went back to their seats the hosts took the
stage to begin the evenings' performances.
Each
classroom performed a special song and dance to a classic Christmas
song. Teachers and students worked very hard to prepare the best
performances and it resulted in a wonderful show.
The
evening was made even more fun with game activities special for the
daddies, mommies and kids. It was so having fun having everyone
involved.
At the end of the performance all the teachers surprised the families with a silly dance they had prepared on their own.
After the show everyone was able to enjoy a lovely buffet dinner. The
end of the evening was concluded with a visit from Santa who presented
each child with a gift. These parties were a great way to bring the
spirit of Christmas to life and spend time with the ones we love. From
the hearts of the staff at Newton to yours, we wish you a very merry
Christmas!
