Merry Christmas from Newton Bayside Kindergarten! This year the international section enjoyed a variety of festive activities and warm celebrations to honor the Christmas holiday.
It is important for children to learn the meaning of Christmas is not presents and elaborate parties. First they must understand that it is about togetherness with friends and family, singing songs, working together and showing each other kindness and love. As a kindergarten we strive to teach students about the happiness we feel when we share time together.
This year our pre-nursery and nursery classes invited parents and loved ones to join them at school to celebrate Christmas. Students enjoyed a Christmas themed English lesson, a performances and games party and finally they made traditional cookie houses together. The feeling at the school on these days what light and warm.
After the activities parents stayed for a special buffet lunch together and pictures with Santa. Dressed in festive clothes, families visited with each other and made lasting friendships. We are to happy to have such wonderful memories from this event.
The K1 and K2 classes took their party the the Hyatt Hotel for a grand celebration. Upon arrival, families checked in to receive their class christmas photo. Then students went to a “Best Wishes” card making station, where they decorated sweet holiday cards for one another.
The party of performances and games this year was lively, with great participation and cooperation. Finely dressed families shared a variety of food together from the buffet and kids frolicked in holiday happiness.
We are so grateful to enjoy these events together and we truly hope all who joined had a wonderful time! We are lucky to have so many kind and supportive families to make up our Newton family. Happy holidays to all, may it be peaceful and full of love.
