At Newton we believe in sharing kindness and respect to others through charitable gestures and kind words. Through this behavior we can teach children to humbly share with others, consider those less fortunate and be grateful for the blessings they have. To ring in the new year we teamed up with SIP Tangmama Charity Center to raise money for teacher salaries in a poorer area of China. Supporting this cause will give passionate educators the ability to maintain their livelihood while helping to teach eager young learners. For our annual charity event we welcomed local vendors and public organizations to come sell their goods and services in support of the charity. Families enjoyed a traditional lion dance and performances from students and staff as they shopped around and enjoyed a variety of activities and games. The spirit was high this years as teachers mingled with the students and shared in making timeless memories. Today we are all very grateful for our wonderful staff, generous families and the continued support from both. Thank you to all who contributed their time and/or money, your consideration is highly appreciated. Lets have a great new year and continue these friendly manners!
