As the song goes "The autumn wind is coming, the autumn wind is coming, and the little leaves have left their mother. Where are they going..." The sunshine in autumn is warm, the color of the earth is beautiful, the leaves gradually turn yellow, and fall on the ground from the autumn wind. On the morning of November 21, we went to explore in nature together with the children of the international section to explore the changes of plants and feel the seasonal changes at the end of autumn and the beginning of winter.
Nursery children went to Suzhou Baitang Arboretum. The children were full of curiosity about everything. They used a magnifying glass to observe the trees, leaves, and even the small stones among the leaves, which aroused the children's interests greatly. All of these are the gifts given by nature.
K1 children went to the beautiful Yangcheng Lake Ecological Sports Park, where there are water surface, sloping hills, green land, trees and other natural ecological environment. Whether it is red fruit, branches or fallen leaves, for the children, they are all materials given by nature. They can't wait to create the art work with the natural materials they found.
K2 children went to Fangzhou park. They observed the fallen leaves and laughed happily: "teacher, these leaves are really like a small fan!" The children listen to the "rustle" sound of stepping on the leaves, and enjoyed the autumn wind. The leaves are like butterflies flying in the wind. The children were particularly excited and curious.
Each K2 child took a bag to collect leaves, pine cones, red fruits, and pine needles for Christmas decorations and to use in their artwork. Some children used leaves to collage images of fish , and then painted it. Girls used leaves to collage flowers. It's really interesting to decorate with leaves.
Nature has given us the best learning environment. By being in nature children can listen, see, feel and touch their environment, they can feel the hope of life, the beauty of life, and understand growth while exploring the mystery of nature.
