2020 is an extraordinary year. On February 9, Scientists at Seymour Island in Antarctica have recorded a new record temperature of 20.75 degrees Celsius, breaking the barrier of 20 degrees for the first time on the continent. 2020 looks set to continue the trend: it was the hottest January on record.
In the story book “the beautiful earth”, as the earth warms and the ice floes melt, penguins begin to move for a better home. They believe that they could finally find another beautiful home on the vast earth.
Let's watch a video of “the beautiful earth” Password:yzuy
Penguins once dreamed that there would be a beautiful ocean, which would be their new home. However, with the increasingly oceanic pollution, the plastic polluted oceans, this dream would be eventually destroyed. These also remind us that human beings should reflect on themselves. If we didn't produce so much plastic garbage, there would not become such a bad marine environment, and it would not ultimately hurt ourselves.
To wound the earth is to harm ourselves. The following animation will show us how a plastic bottle which was discarded casually harm the marine and come back to our bodies through marine animal media.
Let's take a look at a little animation Password:fxyq
The past has happened and it can not be recalled, but we can change from now on, just like penguins, taking care of the earth until it recovers.
What can we do?
There is a lot of things we can do. For example, we can do garbage classification, so as to prevent the plastic garbage from into the ocean. The plastic can be recycled and reused. You know what? 1 tons of waste plastics can be recycled to produce 600 kilograms of diesel oil. Recycled plastics can also be used as raw materials for plastic film, plastic wire, woven fabrics, foam plastics, plastic packaging boxes and containers, plastic products, plastic bags and agricultural ground film. More importantly, we can reduce the pressure of the earth's waste degradation and cure the earth by recycling resources.
Do you know how to sort garbage correctly? Visit our last article about garbage classification, and join us, let’s protect the beautiful earth together.
