With the arrival of autumn, the temperature is changeable, sometimes cold and hot, and children are easy to get sick. Autumn is also a season of frequent occurrence of infectious diseases, and we should pay attention to the protection.
Following are a few infectious diseases that are easy to be infected at this time, so we kindly remind you to take precautions.
1. Flu
Characteristics: acute respiratory tract infection caused by influenza virus is highly infectious and spreads rapidly. It is mainly transmitted by droplets, direct or indirect contact. The symptoms were acute fever, generalized pain, fatigue and mild respiratory symptoms.
Preventive measures: keep indoor air circulation, and try to avoid going to crowded places; pay attention to personal hygiene and wash hands frequently; increase or decrease clothes according to temperature changes; eat foods with rich vitamins; seek medical advice in case of suspicious symptoms.
2. Chickenpox
Characteristics: chickenpox is an acute infectious disease caused by varicella zoster virus. Most happen to children who are 1-14 years old. It is mainly droplet transmission through respiratory tract, and may also be infected by contacting dust, clothes and appliances contaminated by virus.
Preventive measures: vaccination of varicella vaccine is the most effective and economical preventive method; keep indoor air circulation, and try to avoid going to crowd gathering places; pay attention to personal hygiene and wash hands frequently.
Special reminder: chickenpox is relatively mild, it will not cause serious complications, one seizure of chickenpox can get lifelong higher immunity.
3. Hand-foot-and-mouth disease
Characteristics: hand-foot-and-mouth disease is a common infectious disease caused by a variety of enteroviruses. Droplet transmission through the digestive tract or respiratory tract, and also spread through contact with the patient's skin, mucous membrane herpes fluid and infection. Generally, the transmission was the strongest within one week after the onset of the disease. It is common in infants and children.
Preventive measures: wash hands frequently, pay attention to hygiene, frequent ventilation, and avoid going to public places with crowd gathering and poor air circulation.
Special reminder: adult infection is usually asymptomatic, but will spread the virus to children.
4. Herpangina
Characteristics: herpangina is caused by an intestinal virus. We all know hand-foot-mouth disease. In fact, they are caused by the same kind of virus, but the symptoms is not all the same. Blisters only appear in the throat is herpangina. This kind of virus spreads very fast, and the reaction of human body is strong. The incubation period is 3-10 days. Most of them start with sudden high fever, and then red dots and vesicles appear in the throat. Infants often have vomiting, refeeding, and even febrile convulsions.
Preventive measures: frequent ventilation; gargle after meals to maintain oral hygiene; light diet and eat easy to digest food, keep intestinal tract unobstructed; if there are suspected symptoms, timely seek medical advice.
Special reminder: the same patient can be infected by different types of virus for many times.
In order to better prevent infectious diseases, we will strengthen the following areas:
1. Strengthen morning check and class sanitation and disinfection;
2. Strict food safety management;
3. Encourage the children to develop good hygiene habits, wash hands frequently and pay attention to personal hygiene;
4. Organize more outdoor activities for children, ensure the daily outdoor activity time at campus, enhance physical fitness and improve resistance;
To protect children's health, cooperation between family and school is very important. Parents should also pay attention to the following preventive measures at home:
1. The diet should be balanced in nutrition and light-based, pay attention to hygiene, and eat more seasonal food;
2.Develop good personal hygiene habits, wash hands before meals, advocate public chopsticks and separate meals.
3. Strengthen physical exercise and enhance self resistance.
4. If there are similar symptoms of infectious diseases, please tell the class teachers truthfully at the first time, and cooperate with school to prevent and reduce the risk of cross infection.
