Welcome back to school! (and health reminders)
Dear Newton families and friends,
It was announced by the Jiangsu Provincial Authorities that schools and kindergartens in low-risk areas of Jiangsu province will open on September 1st and we are excited to be welcoming students to a wonderful start of the school year.
Throughout the past weeks class-rooms have been prepared, resources distributed and the campus environment has been maintained and undergone regular upkeep. Pandemic procedures remain in place and hygiene support materials including masks, disinfection liquids, gloves and UV light has been prepared and rooms, toys and facility areas have all been disinfected and cleaned.
We are looking forward to a new year, with new friends and many exciting happenings at campus! As the seasons change, so do we and our shared kindergarten home!
From Summer to Spring, Autumn to Winter nature is right at our doorstep, in its full variety and colorful splendor!. Our children learn firsthand, how magnificent the world truly is! Through daily play with friends and seasonal events!
While authorities have done a great job in controlling Covid outbreaks since the beginning of the pandemic, it is important to remember that it is our personal responsibility to do everything in our power to stay safe, healthy and prevent the spread of virus in order to protect not just ourselves, but others too! Wearing masks, refraining from unnecessary travel , reporting your health status and travel movements timely and honestly is still essential in keeping up the fight against Covid. Before students return to school, we strictly follow all necessary guidelines.
Return to school requirements
All students returning to school, must make a 14 day temperature and health check record, which is to be submitted the day before school start on August 31st, 12:00 noon. In the event that your child has a temperature, you must inform us immediately. Parents are also required to submit their "Sukang Health Code" and "Travel/Movement Record" before school start.
Finally, we wish to encourage all our wonderful families, new and old, to take an extra moment in the beginning to get to know your teachers by using the communication book, dialing the class-room phone or sending message on the school APP! The presence of good communication, builds trust and is a fundamental part of ensuring positive team-work, which only happens when we invest the necessary time to get to know each other first.
It is with joy and appreciation that my colleagues and I wish you a great beginning to the 2021/2022 school year at Newton kindergarten!
Sincerely,
Anders S Christensen
