Minion’s Dream House
In the Minions movie, cute little yellow creatures wearing overalls and big eyes have captured the hearts of children everywhere. In our Minions theme activity, our K1 students went from watching the movie Minions to creating minions and minion crafts of their own. They used recycled materials to create a Minion Dream House and then sculpted minions to live there. Everything about it showed the creativity and imagination in a child’s world.
Harry Potter’s Potions Class
Many of our students want to study magic at Hogwarts, just like Harry Potter! Do you want to be a wizard too? Have you ever seen a floating candle or wondered how a piece of tissue can become a rainbow bridge with the flick of a wand? Have you thought about how the magical world of ice and snow came into being, and a paper fish could swim in the water? Our K2 students turned into “Little Wizards” for the say using salt, vinegar, baking soda, and other common ingredients to make magic and link nature with science. Look at our little Harry Potters!
Mario’s Amazing Journey
In the classic game Super Mario Brothers, Mario and Luigi’s classic red and green hats caught the attention of our K1 students. Our teachers used elements from the video game to create giant games such as Mario’s Flying Chess Set, Bowser’s Table Maze, Luigi’s Labrinth, etc. Every child transformed into Mario and played real-life video games. They bypassed poisonous mushrooms, overcame obstacles and collected gold coins, and won a sense of pride and accomplishment!
The Great Madagascar Performance
The movie Penguins of Madagascar tells the story of how cute little penguins fight their wits bravely against Dave the octopus and finally survive. Our K2 students loved the movie’s storyline, and after watching it, they decided to reenact their favorite part! As a result, screenwriters, actors, costume designers, and prop connoisseurs were born. They worked together to create a play, make costumes, and build props for a wonderful show of their own…
Snoopy’s Technicolor Coat
In the Peanuts series, Snoopy is a dog who enjoys socializing and has heroic fantasies. Its cute black-and-white image is deeply loved and recognized by children everywhere. We challenged all of our Nursery and Pre-Nursery students to design a colorful outfit for this plain-looking icon of a dog! Each class had different ideas; some used leaves to make clothes, some used stamps, some used colorful bubbles, some kids sprayed Snoopy with paint, and our littlest friends used marbles and rollers for Snoopy’s unique coat! Let’s take a look!
