Summer is full of memories, which is the mark of childhood at Newton. Summer is poetic, the joy of growth and the sadness of parting. This year's graduation ceremony was destined to be an unusual one. The students returned to Newton in late May, and after just over a month together, our K2 graduates were about to say goodbye to kindergarten and embark on a new chapter. We created a unique and meaningful graduation day for our graduates and recorded the most touching moments.
01
Graduation Ceremony Witness Your Growth
Graduation is a word with mixed feelings, including growth, love, gratitude, reminiscence, joy, blessing, and hope. The hosts opened the ceremony, the graduation song began, parents' well-wishes played on screen, the principal handed out the first graduation certificates of our young one's lives, and they reminisced about their past few years with their friends… bit by bit and full of love, touching moments and good wishes, every frame seemed to be saying "We Graduated."
02
Perform with Actions Narrate Your Growth
Successful education isn't just letting kids run forward directionless; it's teaching them to persevere when they hit roadblocks as they move forward. Newton has always adhered to a child-oriented educational philosophy, supporting children's exploration, play, learning, and growth. Our K2 graduates' performance was a spin on a classic storybook about change and new beginnings this year. When they went on stage as caterpillars who grew and, with hard work, transformed into butterflies, they could relate to the symbolism of metamorphosis. Our students are breaking out of their cocoons and spreading their wings to fly, like the bright future ahead of them.
03
Follow Your Dreams Your Future Awaits
Three years at kindergarten went by in the blink of an eye, leaving graduates reluctant to part but unafraid to grow. They wrote down their greatest wishes, deepest desires, and most significant dreams and put them into a wish bottle. When the night fell, with heavy hearts, our graduates put forth their expectations for the future on the wishing tree. May we all chase our dreams bravely and have all of our wishes come true.
04
Everlasting Memories Always Remember
05
Happy Moments Last Forever
With smiles and a bit of sadness, our graduates went out for water play one last time. Splashing around with friends is one of the best memories of childhood. Every year, our graduating classes look forward to the rite of passage, our annual pajama party. They put on their favorite PJs, stride down the catwalk, watch movies and have one last memorable night with their friends.
06
Before they said their final goodbye, our K2 students talked about their most cherished memories, not only about kindergarten but also about the delicious food from our Chefs. Before their last dinner buffet, our head chef went to the classrooms to ask the students about their favorite foods and what they wanted to eat for their final farewell feast!
What would you like to eat on your last day of kindergarten?
I want to have spaghetti and pizza.
Our graduates couldn't contain their excitement when they saw the food they had written down on their "My Favorite Food" cards. They sat with their friends for one last meal to celebrate this momentous occasion.
07
Every child who graduates from Newton has happy memories of riding the Newton train. Today the class of 2022 received special tickets from their teachers, boarded the train, and took one final look at the familiar campus. Every tree, nook, and corner is full of memories of scenes from their time here. Wherever their future takes them, we believe that our graduates bring with them the love they felt while at Newton.
Time is fleeting,
You grew up in the blink of an eye.
All ends are also a beginning.
Every chapter in your life will be different.
May you always carry your teachers' love,
As you say goodbye to kindergarten and fly into the great big world.
Fly high and always dare to do great things with your life.
The best is yet to come!
