On March 28th Hui Xin campus were inspected by members of the traffic bureau and educational bureau for our conduct of bus services. It is a standard yearly check and is aimed towards all schools and kindergartens in observance of local school bus transportation rules and standards. We are very proud to announce that we passed with high regard and were invited to share our procedures and bus management routines with other schools, which we of course feel honored to do.
As a kindergarten, we know how important it is to ensure children's safety while going to/from the bus and on the bus itself. With both head of transportation and bus administrators we have designated persons bringing children to classes in the morning and on to the bus in the afternoon. While on the bus, the onboard monitor will communicate timely with campus bus supervisors to arrange arrival and departure, in case of delay's. At the bus waiting area, head of transportation check and monitor the daily routines and keep records.
Every day, bus drivers and head of transportation have 2 meetings. In the morning after arrivals to share information and "no-bus-children" along with in the afternoon before departure, to re-confirm children's check.
Our procedure with red & yellow tags on children's school bus help all of Newton staff to be of assistance and not to forget, if a child's bag has a red card, they will be picked up from campus and not take bus home.
While we are happy for the days recognition, we wish to keep improving ourselves and focus on procedures to remind teachers and parents of the daily arrangements.
Sincerely,
Ms. Jessie Zhou
Head of transportation at Hui Xin campus
