On March 28th Ms. Alexandra from K1-109 invited us to observe the class lesson about "Digging for Dinosaur Bones".
Throughout the month's theme of "Let's Explore" the children learned about discoveries, explorations and the tools and ways we make those wonderful and important explorations. In this particular lesson, children sang a song about "When Dinosaur's Lived on Earth" and read a book called "Digging for Dinosaur Bones". Teacher Alexandra also showed photos of bones and skeletons of famous dinosaurs before the class went outside to the sandpit to carefully dig up buried bones (toy bones) from the sand. It was a fun lesson, full of tactile involvement and the students loved being aecheologists and making important finds hidden in the sand.
Good job K1-109!
