Happiness & Sports
At Newton, sports and exercise is essential to children's growth and happiness!
From morning exercise to daily outdoor play and the weekly PE lessons, children are allowed to play freely and happily while learning to use and develop their physical skills.
Children are encouraged to actively participate in a large variety of different sport activities, not only to develop their performance skills, but also to develop good physical habits while always enjoying the fun that doing sports bring to our lives!
Growing through sports games
At Newton, fun and exciting sports, games and surprises are part of children's daily life.
The curriculum development team makes full use of the facilities at campus and combine skills of different ages, such as walking, running, jumping and climbing to design unique and challenging sports games.
In each sports game we focus on children's unique physical development through participation, self exploration and confidence building.
An immersive sports day theme
At Newton, children greatly look forward to the yearly Sports Events!
At the yearly Sports Event we combine both the curriculum, season and children's own interests in a fun and sporty themed celebration. This year, sports activities took place throughout the whole month and enriched the campus in high energy, sportsmanship and a world of fun and diversified sports games!
Celebrating the World Cup at Newton! with the theme "One small ball one big world!"
The Qatar World Cup is the biggest sporting event right now and for many parents, essential to follow from home. As such our students are inspired by the magic of Football and at campus K2 classes used the opportunity to create their very own "Newton Cup" where we cheer for the game, teams and each other under the theme "One small ball, one big world!"
Looking at the history of Football, we explored its origins through photos, articles and learned more about this year's "World Cup" and the Mascot called "La'eeb". Students showed their love for the sport and their interest in this unique world spanning tournament.
From the class sports themes to the football tournament on campus our children connected with each other & the world through the wonderful world of sports! To the World Cup Anthem of 2010, Shakira's "Waka Waka", our little football players put on their team uniforms, carried the team flag and went on to the football field. They ran, dribbled and passed the ball with enthusiasm and whenever there was a goal we couldn't help but cheer in excitement! just as the World Cup!
Every activity is a new experience and together with every success comes fulfillment and joy!
At Newton, we love sports every day!
