In the warm morning sunshine of late autumn, we held Newton's "Little Olympics" themed sports week! During the 4-day sports week, Newton's students from different classes, sections, and nationalities carried forward the same Olympic spirit on the sports field. Let's have a look at this unique and wonderful sporting event!
We Are Athletes·Opening Ceremony
Next to a giant trophy, our flag-bearers, torchbearers, and energetic athletes, set off to enter the sports field with total energy and confidence. Colorful uniforms and team chants made the Newton playground a beautiful landscape filled with an intense "Olympic" atmosphere.
The Amazing Balls·International K2 & K1 Sports Day
On the first day of Newton's sports week, the main component was balls of all kinds. Our young athletes played with various balls, such as basketballs, soccer balls, baseballs, ping pong balls, etc.
Each event was a spin on a classic game. Our athletes cheered for their fellow competitors. In the "The Flying T-ball" game, we combined baseball and basketball; the young players zig-zagged across the field to transport sandbags with speed and passion. "The Great Torch Adventure," "Kickball," and "The Giant Floating Soccer Ball"featured all kinds of balls. Every game requires skill and coordination.
The Battle of the Courageous·Domestic K2 Sports Day
The triathlon in the Olympic Games is a new sporting event that combines swimming, cycling, and running; it's a great test of true grit. During our Domestic K2's sports day, Newton's version of the triathlon featured games called "The Pioneer Rider," "Swimming Forward," and "The Brave Climbers ."With a whistle, the familiar train track became a riding field for our active athletes; they pedaled their bicycles forward with all their strength. In the "Swimming Forward" game, the various swimming positions of young players showed their tenacious fighting spirit of striving forward; In the "Brave Climbers" game, they not only climbed but did so as a team. Each "Little Iron Man" performed with strength and conviction. It was beautiful to see their passion for competition and cooperation!
Track and Field· Int. N and Dom. K1 & N Sports Days
There are so many track and field events in the Olympic Games, each challenging. Our Domestic Nursery and K1 athletes were energized as they walked, ran, jumped, and threw, and nothing could stop them. They transformed into "Torch-bearers," "Flag-bearers," and super powerful "Throwers ."We believe that with some encouragement, our students will reach their full potential and learn to run swifter, jump higher and grow stronger together.
Little Athletes·PN Sports Day
The Olympic rings signify unity and cooperation, and our littlest athletes' event was full of them. As the cutest babies on campus, they officially kicked off their first sports day at Newton. They searched for Olympic rings in a giant ball pit, sent animal babies home through a crawling obstacle course, and then picked "fruit" to feed the baby animals. Their first sports day was a success and one they will soon not forget.
Newton's Little Olympics started with anticipation and ended successfully. Our students not only explored various Olympic sporting events but also experienced the fun of teamwork, persistence, and conviction!
